Reef Assessment
This site was expanded in 2006 with the addition of three new reefs. This site has average recruitment and growth of oysters. Rapid erosion of highland has been smothering two of the three reefs with sand. In response, modifications were made in 2002 that included the addition of vertical (stump) bags and an elevated rear row, both of which resulted in improvements. As of Spring 2006, marsh grass is growing in significantly behind the reefs.
